Site manager receives industry award

A site manager in Ashby-de-la-Zouch has been celebrating after receiving a prestigious industry award for the second time.

Andrew Clarke, who works at Ashberry Homes’ Broadleaf development off Moira Road, won the National House-Building Council (NHBC) Seal of Excellence.

Andrew was one of 22 site managers in the East of England who received a Seal of Excellence at the NHBC’s regional awards ceremony held in Leicester earlier this month (September) for their commitment to delivering high-quality homes.

He said:

“This is the second time I have won a Seal of Excellence, and I cannot even put it into words how great it feels. It is great to be recognised for all the hard work, hours and effort we put in to ensure we deliver quality and consistency in our homes.

“I am very proud of myself and the whole team. I have an excellent group of people around me who are committed to producing high-quality homes for all of our customers.”

Judging for the awards begins a year before the announcement of the first round of winners and each site manager is assessed across 44 areas of site management. This includes spot checks of the day-to-day running of their site, testing their technical knowledge, looking at the consistency of the build process and checking the quality controls they have in place.
