RISK celebrates awards double

Leading health & safety training provider RISK Safety and Management Services is celebrating its second award win of September.

The firm, based in Mansfield, was named as the Small Business of the Year at the 2019 Nachural Entrepreneurship Awards, which were announced on Friday.

It was RISK’s second success of the month, coming hot on the heels of recently being unveiled as the Ecommerce Business of the Year, at the East Midlands Chamber’s Nottinghamshire Business Awards.

Established in 1997, RISK is one of the UK’s leading health and safety training providers. It is a small business that has, through the use of technology, been able to deliver a great customer experience across a broad range of health and safety qualifications, including IOSH, NEBOSH and CITB.

It operates in London, Liverpool, Edinburgh and has a head office and an additional training venue in Nottingham.

RISK was chosen by the Nachural awards judges because of its use of technology and ecommerce and the way it has embraced change and innovation to compete in a crowded market where larger businesses have tried to muscle the smaller providers out.

The firm has developed a unique way of delivering the coveted NEBOSH Certificate qualification and, as a result, has consistently achieved higher than the national average pass rates since 2015 .

Its award-winning website, www.rsms.co.uk, automates a lot of the booking and customer-facing processes that it needs to run the business successfully.

The platform also provides customers with a simple-to-use, self-serve ecommerce solution to buy RISK’s products.
