Inspiring Business by Sharing Success

PLM Global hold the HHT and EPoS world in their hands with 3 confident new appointments

September has seen the exciting appointment of three new key positions at PLM Global, the UK-based mobile print and EPoS provider.

At a time when industry and service sectors seem to be hitting the pause button on major growth decisions, it’s refreshing to see an organisation who feel confident to make such an important investment in the future.

PLM Global are specialists in the supply, repair and maintenance of hand-held data capture devices, mobile print and EPoS hardware. As well as being solution providers, they also focus strongly on environmental considerations and provide the opportunity for their clients to repair, refurbish and reuse existing equipment as well as purchasing new inventory – a valuable service at a time when environmental credentials matter.

Their insight into what is important for their customer base comes from the founders’ 50 years of shared industry experience; a foundation which has played no small part in their success and desire to expand.

The three new recruits – all external appointments in new positions – are fulfilling customer-focussed roles within the operation, strengthening the support base as the company grows.

Rob Alcock joins as Solutions Director, bringing 30 years of experience with him, all within auto ID and industrial printer sales and solutions, latterly for Honeywell. When asked about his appointment, he explained:

“This is the industry I know and love. Whilst I will enjoy solving new technical challenges, I’m also looking forward to working with such a dynamic team.”

The new Sales Administrator role is to be filled by Tracey Manners. Whilst previous roles within other companies (including PC KnowHow) have given her over 20 years to hone her administration skills, she also brings specific experience in equipment repair -a vital component in the PLM Global offering. Tracey told us:

“I’m very excited to be joining PLM Global. From the outset I could see their passion for what they do and a belief that good customer service is essential to their success.”

The last position – Accounts Director – will be taken by Lewis Heppell. Another seasoned professional, Lewis comes from Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions. He too has an impressive track record and a vast amount of product knowledge and service delivery experience, amassed in his 20 years within the industry. Asked about what he most looked forward to he said:

“What attracted me most was being part of the senior Management team in an organisation where every individual employee and their input is valued. It’s not always guaranteed that your experience is respected when you join a large company.”

All three new recruits have been warmly welcomed by Shane Watson, Sales Director of PLM Global who told us:

“I am delighted that we have been able to invest heavily in people. Employing people is the single thing I am most proud of, professionally. The experience and knowledge that the three appointments are going to bring to PLM will be a massive part of helping us grow this year.”
