Wytech named Midlands’ top IT services provider

Award-winning IT support and telecoms specialist Wytech has added another accolade to its growing trophy cabinet.

The firm, based near Ashbourne, has been named IT Services Provider of the Year in the 2019 Midlands Enterprise Awards.

The awards are run by SME News, an online business news portal and quarterly digital publication dedicated to celebrating the success of small to medium-sized businesses, which make up the backbone of the UK’s economy. They aim to highlight and reward SMEs from across the Midlands region for their innovation and excellence, as well as their outstanding overall performance.

Wytech’s award comes on the back of a solid period of growth for the company, which saw it expand into a new head office on the Ednaston Business Park, recruit three new members of staff and launch a new website to better showcase its range of services and solutions.

Founded in 2004, Wytech provides businesses of all sizes with a complete tailored solution, including fully-managed IT solutions and bespoke systems and networks. Its team has decades of expertise in IT and telecoms, including extensive experience working with software providers for the NHS.

It has received numerous awards and accreditations, including Sophos Silver Partner and Acronis Authorised Cloud Partner, and is Cyber Essentials certified.

Wytech’s Managing Director, Mark Jones, said: “We’ve had a successful 12 months which has seen us grow the team, win some big projects, relocate to some fantastic new premises and fully redefine our service proposition to customers, so to win another award is just the icing on the cake for Wytech.

“Winning awards such as this one that are based on merit, rather than votes, is always nice because it highlights the quality of our work, the innovative and collaborative approach we take to solving our clients’ challenges, our commitment to excellence and our dedication to providing a first-class service to everyone we work with.

“Although we work with clients nationally, we are extremely proud of our local roots here in the East Midlands and it’s an honour to be able to fly the flag for this region, which truly is the heartbeat of the UK’s economy.”

Natalie Farrell, Awards Coordinator, added: “SME News prides itself on the validity of its awards and winners. The awards are given solely on merit and are awarded to commend those most deserving for their ingenuity and hard work, distinguishing them from their competitors and proving them worthy of recognition.”
