First of a kind vegan snack kit launches in iconic UK store

An innovative vegan snack kit has gone from start-up to High Street in just 12 months as it is chosen to feature in iconic British store Selfridges.

Taking the snack world by storm, Energy Ball Recipes, was launched last year by owner Victoria Prince as she wanted to create more variety in the vegan snack market.

The unique new recipe kit with all the right ingredients to make 30 plant-based tasty snacks will now feature online at the high-end store with a variety of exclusive flavours in time for Christmas shoppers.

Making snacking on the go easier each eco-friendly packaged kit contains just the right amount of ingredients for 30 non bake treats with no waste.

Selfridges will be launching exclusive chocolate brownie, Coconut and Pistachio and Turmeric and Chia seed one off and triple box packs.

Talking about the iconic store’s reasons behind choosing the independent brand Adrian Boswell, Selfridges Buyer, said:

“We’re excited to be the first retailer to launch Energy Ball Recipe Kits. Increasingly our customers are looking for healthy, plant-based snacks and the kits are a great option, complete with all the ingredients to make the energy balls quickly and easily at home.”

Managing Director Victoria Prince, who came up with the idea as a way of creating herself vegan friendly snacks free from additives and added sugar, said the concept has just been embraced by consumers looking for easy plant-based bite-sized snacks.

She said:

“As a brand we are so excited to be launching in Selfridges. They are an iconic British store and to think in the last 12 months we have gone from launch to high-end retail is amazing.

“For me the way people are eating is changing. People are concerned by what goes in to their food and are looking for products that are still easy to pick up and go but that don’t contain additives or preservatives. Energy Ball Recipe kits allow them to do that and make plant-based snacking easier and more affordable.”

The kits are available in a one-off Chocolate Brownie flavour or triple pack which includes Chocolate Brownie, Coconut and Pistachio and Turmeric and Chia seed.

Each kit contains all the right plant-based ingredients to easily make 30 non bake energy balls which are high in fibre as well as a source of protein. They are also dairy and wheat free, contain no added sugar and can be stored in the fridge or freezer to use as and when needed.

“It really will revolutionise the energy ball snacking industry,” said Victoria talking about the brand.

“People want healthy, sustainable food but we need to be looking at ways of making it more affordable. Energy Ball Recipes provide just the right amount of ingredients so there is no waste and they are easy to make and easy to store.”

All of the recipes are vegan and vegetarian friendly with the packaging completely biodegradable making them good for the planet as well as your body.
