Transvac gears up for expansion in the United States

Design and manufacturing company Transvac Systems has struck a deal which will see it expand in the United States.

Transvac, which is based in Alfreton, Derbyshire, supplies jet pumps, jet compressors, jet mixers and other products for process applications in a range of industries, including oil and gas, nuclear, water, power and pharmaceuticals.

The company specialises in ejector technology which has no moving parts and therefore has low maintenance costs compared with mechanical rotating alternatives.

Transvac’s products are currently used globally, including throughout the UK, Europe, the Middle East and the Far East.

Now Transvac has agreed a strategic partnership with Statiflo Corp, the US arm of Cheshire-based Statiflo, which is a world leader in the design and distribution of ozone gas dispersion systems, static mixers and other process equipment.

The agreement will see Statiflo sell Transvac’s products in the municipal water treatment sector across the United States.

The companies have had a commercial relationship for more than 30 years, mainly in European markets. Statiflo uses Transvac’s ejector technology in its gas dispersion systems.

Transvac, which was founded by chairman David Redgate and employs 53 staff, turns over more than £7m a year.

Sales manager Craig Favill said:

“We’re very excited to build on our existing relationship with Statiflo to expand our technical offering in the municipal water market in the US.

“The partnership will focus on the introduction of our technology for a number of key applications in water treatment.

“It is an excellent opportunity to expand the business and we are confident it will prove a successful venture.”

The partnership will be officially launched at the WEFTEC 2019 water quality exhibition in Chicago, which takes place next week.

WEFTEC is the world’s biggest annual water quality technical conference and exhibition, attracting thousands of water and wastewater professionals.

Statiflo managing director Gareth Fry said:

“We have a great relationship with Transvac and its products complement our static mixers very well.

“We’re delighted to be expanding the partnership by focusing on the key US municipal water market, and WEFTEC is the ideal venue for the launch.”
