Sills & Betteridge offer full time roles to trainee solicitors

East Midlands law firm Sills & Betteridge has offered two newly qualified solicitors full time roles following the successful completion of their training contracts with the firm.

The newly qualified solicitors are Kia Butterfield and Danielle Hardy who will begin their career working from the firms Skegness branch.

Kia, who is former pupil of Skegness Grammar School, completed an LLB (Hons) Law Degree, Legal Practice Course and Masters Degree in Law at the University of Law in Leeds. She will be employed in the firm’s Residential Property department led by associate solicitor Emma Downing.

Lincolnshire born Danielle, has a Law and Business Degree from the University of Lincoln and Legal Practice Course qualification from Nottingham Law School. She will be working with James Proctor in the Wills, Trusts & Probate team.

Commenting on her appointment, Kai said,

“I liked the fast paced, process driven nature of conveyancing work and the opportunity to be part of a firm which values both its employees and clients. There is substantial investment taking place in Skegness including an increase in buy to let activity, so it is an exciting time to work in property. Clients come back to us again and again as they build up their property portfolios, enabling us to get to know our clients and build solid relationships.”

Danielle added,

“It has always been important to me to work for a firm that encourages progression. I like working in the S&B Skegness branch as it has a supportive team spirit and friendly atmosphere. Being part of a large firm also means there are opportunities to fulfil my ambitions so I feel I have the best of both worlds.”

Retaining talent is part of a period of strategically planned growth for the Skegness branch.

Skegness Branch Manager and Partner James Proctor added,

“I am delighted and proud that both Kia and Danielle have chosen to continue working for the firm following qualification. To be able to attract and retain two more outstanding young lawyers is testament to the hard work that has been put into the development and progression of the Skegness branch over the last few years. Kia and Danielle are now valuable members of the largest Conveyancing and Wills, Trusts and Probate teams in the town. I look forward to working with them both and have every confidence in their future success.”

Sills & Betteridge was listed as a leading firm in the 2019 Legal 500 rankings and has 12 office located in Lincolnshire, Nottingham, Northampton and South Yorkshire.
