Community fundraising sees Fidler & Pepper Lawyers shortlisted for award

Fidler & Pepper lawyers, specialists in Private Client and Conveyancing legal advice, have been shortlisted for yet another prestigious award, this time in recognition of its community spirit.

The company, with offices in Mansfield and in Sutton in Ashfield, is a finalist in the Community Involvement Award category of the British Wills and Probate Awards.

Over the past 12 months as an example, the company has taken part in fundraising initiatives for a range of charities, and has been part of community events in and around Nottinghamshire.

It has supported the annual Will Aid campaign, and held events for the Stroke Association, Alzheimer’s Society, Macmillan, Children in Need and Red Nose Day.

Staff have also taken part in events including Mansfield Junior Enterprise, Joseph Whittaker School Careers Fair, Mansfield Rotary’s Children of Courage Awards, and the Mansfield Christmas Lights Appeal.

Director and Head of Private Client, Richard Howard, is a specialist in Wills and Probate matters. He said: “We’re very proud to be a part of the local community and supporting local and national charities and events is something that is very important to our company.

“We are the very definition of a people business. We have fantastic staff who undergo a range of training and personal development initiatives, and we deliver excellent customer service to people who are our clients.

“We take part in a range of community events and fundraising initiatives not because we have to, but because we want to and because we are part of the community. I’m personally delighted that we have been shortlisted.”

The British Wills and Probate awards, organised by specialist publisher Today’s Wills and Probate, have been introduced to “highlight achievement and recognise the successes of those in the Wills and Probate sector”. The awards event takes place on October 17 at The Belfry Hotel & Resort in the West Midlands.

Fidler & Pepper also recently found out it was shortlisted as a national finalist in the Best Training Firm category of the Law Firm Services Awards 2019.
