Total Reclaims Demolition shortlisted for ‘Employer of the Year’

Nottinghamshire demolition and reclamation company, Total Reclaims, has been shortlisted in the ‘Employer of the Year’ category at the Midlands Family Business Awards. 

As an independent, not-for-profit initiative, the purpose of the awards is to “shine a light on the region’s most talented and successful family businesses” by formally recognising those that excel in their field - and Total Reclaims Demolition is one of just six companies shortlisted in its category.

“We care deeply about doing the very best job for our clients and that can only be achieved by maintaining highly trained, highly motivated employees who love their work and feel a genuine responsibility for one another’s welfare.” 

Now in its 25th year, Total Reclaims is a family-run firm that has helped change the face of the Nottingham skyline. While nearly half of the company's staff come directly from the founder’s own family, local community is also at the heart of its approach. 

It sponsors several sports teams, it runs a thriving apprenticeship scheme for local teenagers and it actively champions the training and career development of every one of its 90 employees. 

Total Reclaims will now progress to the final round of the awards, where they will come face-to-face with a judging panel comprising an industry expert, a sponsor representative and a member of the Midlands Family Business Awards team.

They will then head to the black-tie Awards Dinner on 7th November at the King Power Stadium in Leicester, where the outright winner will be announced.
