Recruitment firm expands with five new appointments

Over the last six months, Place Recruitment has grown by 140% leading to geographic expansion and the appointment of five new recruitment consultants. Originally founded to meet the demand for secretarial recruitment within the finance and investment sectors in London, Place Recruitment has seen demand rise in the Midlands.

The five new recruits are Annie Thomas, Katie Smith, Madelaine Plail, Robert Smith and Sarah Cowlishaw, who have all joined the company since January.

Sarah has been appointed to expand the recruitment desk in the East Midlands for permanent and temporary hires. Her main areas of focus include Nottingham, Leicester and Derby, as well as Birmingham and Manchester. Sarah joins from Domestic and General where she was a sales executive.

Robert is an experienced consultant having previously worked for several recruitment consultancies specialising in IT and print. He has also ran his own business and will utilise his experience as a search and selection consultant to expand across the East Midlands.

Annie will be recruiting on a temporary and temp to permanent basis for a variety of clients within finance, media, tech and investment sectors in London. Madelaine will also retain the focus on the London market, working primarily for private equity and finance firms that are looking to hire Executive Assistants, PA’s and admin roles on a permanent basis.

Supporting the team and providing marketing support to help raise the company’s profile is Katie, who was previously a campaigns manager for Creswell Heritage Trust and has completed various marketing internships.

Operating from offices based on the High Street in Ruddington, Nottingham, Place Recruitment has been growing steadily focusing on finance, private equity, media, retail, industrial, accounting, property and technology sectors. The company, was originally founded in 2017 by Amy Ferris, who re-located from London to her home town of Nottingham.

Over the last six months, turnover has grown by 140% having won assignments to recruit on behalf of many leading brands in its core sectors. The company is now planning further growth as it seeks to offer services to FTSE200 companies and commercial and industrial businesses in the Midlands.
