Inspiring Business by Sharing Success

Risk celebrates double awards nomination

The whole team here at Risk is celebrating after learning we’ve been nominated for two prestigious business awards for our new online ecommerce platform.

We’ve been named as a finalist in the Business Improvement Through Technology and eCommerce categories in the East Midlands Chamber’s 2019 Nottinghamshire Business Awards.

The awards showcase the best local businesses, offering national recognition. They promote and recognise innovation, enterprise and accomplishment in businesses of all sizes, from across Nottinghamshire.

The Business Improvement Trough Technology award recognises organisations that have integrated technology to help them grow their business. We had to demonstrate how we have used the power of technology to work more effectively and increase our ability to meet our customers’ needs.

The eCommerce award, meanwhile, is a new category which recognises businesses which have adopted an innovative approach to, and achieved significant success in, selling their products and services online.

The two awards we have been nominated for are for our new ecommerce platform, which was built and developed by our technology solutions partner Quiet Storm.

Our new system automates a lot of the booking and customer-facing processes that our organisation needs to run the business successfully.

The platform also provides our customers with a simple-to-use, self-serve ecommerce solution to buy our products.

If we are successful in the Nottinghamshire Awards, we will compete against the other winners from other counties across the East Midlands, for the chance to represent the region at the British Chambers of Commerce’s national business awards in November.

Mike Adams, our Managing Director, said:

“This is fantastic news and the whole team here at Risk is delighted that we have been nominated.

“We’re extremely proud of the web platform that our technology solutions partner, Quiet Storm, has built for us, which has totally transformed our business and enabled us to better meet our client needs by making it easy for them to engage with – and buy from – us in the way they want to.

“We’re up against some fantastic businesses in all the categories we are shortlisted in, so it’s going to be tough but I wish all the finalists the best of luck and fingers crossed for September, when we will find out if we’ve won.”
