Local businesses join forces to support Lincoln City Women FC

Ahead of Lincoln City Women Football Club’s first home game on the 25th August, Stokes Tea & Coffee and Visual Print and Design, have joined forces to support the women’s team with the design and print of their football programmes for the up and coming season.

The club play in FA Women's National League Division One Midlands, step four of the women's pyramid in England, and recently went through a rebrand from Nettleham Ladies FC at the start of the summer in a bid to bring women’s football back to Lincoln.

Richard Cooper, First Team Manager for Lincoln City Women FC, was delighted to have the support of Stokes Tea & Coffee and Visual Print and Design.

“It’s important that we have the support of companies that share our passion for raising the profile of women’s sport in Lincoln and thanks to Stokes Tea & Coffee and Visual Print and Design, we are able to do just that.”

Lincoln City Women FC will be kicking off the season with an away game against Wolverhampton Wanderers on the 18th August following by their first game at home at Ashby Avenue stadium on the 25th August at 2pm.

Samantha Pover, Business Growth & Marketing Manager of Stokes Tea & Coffee said:

“We’re thrilled to be supporting Lincoln City Women Football Club and working alongside Visual Print and Design to produce the football programmes for the season. It’s an exciting time for women’s sports and for Lincoln City and we’re proud to be part of it.”

Rachael Hunt, Creative Marketing Manager of Visual Print and Design, said: “With the buzz around women’s football since the World Cup and Lincoln City’s success, we’re so excited to be supporting Lincoln City Women Football Club and their mission to create further opportunities for women and girls in sports in Lincolnshire.”

On the 15th September, the Lady Imps Supporters Association have teamed up with the Fans Player Scheme to create a unique event, the Lincoln Three Hills Challenge, which involves walking around some less trodden parts of our city to help raise funds for the Lincoln City Foundation and the newly formed Lincoln City Women FC. The event will start at the Lawn at 9:30am, which has been kindly offered by Stokes Tea & Coffee. To register for the event please go to www.ladyimps.co.uk
