Morley Hayes appoints new golf manager

Derbyshire hotel, restaurant and golf complex Morley Hayes has boosted its golf team with the appointment of Max Howard as golf manager.

Max joins the Morley Hayes team from the Marriot Breadsall Priory Hotel & Country Club, where he spent more than six years working as a golf advisor and golf operations supervisor.

In his new role at Morley Hayes, Max will head up the golf team and oversee the day-to-day operation of the golf department to ensure that golfers get the most out of their experience.

He will also use his experience of working at a membership-based golf club to exploit new opportunities to expand the golf offer at Morley Hayes, both for the domestic and the corporate golfer.

Max, who worked behind the bar at Morley Hayes when he was a student, is delighted to be returning to head up the golf team:

“I’m incredibly pleased to be back at Morley Hayes after some time away. Morley Hayes has a great reputation in the golfing world and is one of the most popular golf complexes in the region.

“Andrew, Robert and their team are constantly looking to invest in the golf facilities here and this is a great opportunity for me to develop my skills at the same time as using my experience to take the golf facilities to the next level.”

Commenting on Max’s appointment as golf manager, managing director Andrew Allsop said:

“We’re really delighted to welcome Max back to the Morley Hayes family as our new golf manager. His experience over the last six and half years makes him the perfect fit for this role and his understanding of the local golfing scene will be invaluable.

“We continue to invest heavily in the golf facilities here at Morley Hayes and Max joins us at an exciting time, with phase two of the redevelopment our driving range currently underway.”
