Churchside Insurance makes friends with Mansfield BID

When Churchside Insurance was located in the centre of Mansfield, the company really loved the work of the Mansfield Business Improvement District.

But because it needed its own car park, about a year ago the insurance broker moved out of the town centre and into Samuel Brunts Way, Mansfield.

This meant that although the company was still within very easy reach of the town centre, it was no longer within the designated BID area and couldn’t take advantage of its services.

But now Churchside, which handles both business and personal insurance policies, has become part of the growing Friends of The BID scheme, set up to help nearby businesses that are not located within the official BID boundary.

Director Dean Parrish said: “The BID is an excellent organisation and does so much for businesses. You have to pay a levy of course, but you get so much more back, whether that’s help with marketing, or with schemes like cardboard collection.

“I’m delighted that we can give a little back by becoming a Friend of the BID, and we would encourage others who can to do the same.”

Although it is a standalone company, Mansfield BID acts as a partnership between local authorities and the local business community, developing and taking forward projects and services that benefit the trading environment.

Nikki Rolls, Chief Executive at Mansfield BID, commented: “The Friends scheme is proving to be extremely popular and its further evidence that forward-thinking businesses really value the important work of Mansfield BID.”

Other companies involved in the Friends of the BID scheme include Tanbry Construction, on the Broadway, Mansfield Garage Doors, on Great Central Road, Mansfield Town FC and Bella Italia.
