Local businesses in Great Bowden united for successful 'Mulberry Market Day'

Luxury housebuilder Mulberry Homes recently hosted its first ever ‘market day’ event in Great Bowden to celebrate local businesses in and around the village.
The Heathcote Grange development on Leicester Lane played host to companies across Leicestershire and gave visitors a chance to meet the owners behind these brands, as well as find out more about the location itself.
The market day saw local companies such as Aldwinckles Coffee Shop, Well Roasted Coffee and Welton’s Deli showcase their products and tell residents and guests more about what they have available.
Visitors were given the chance to sample delicious coffees and homemade cakes, as well as ice creams and sweet treats from all of the companies. They were also given a tour of the properties at Heathcote Grange, where they could view the show homes and get a feel for what living at the development would be like.
William from Well Roasted Coffee said:
“In spite of the weather there was a good amount of visitors to the market event. They expressed a lot of interest in my coffees and were pleased that I was a local Artisan roaster. So, hopefully there will be more fresh coffee drinkers in the neighbourhood.”
Nicky from Welton’s added:
“It was a great day and a good chance for us to meet existing and potentially new customers, who chatted to us not only about our business, but about their plans to move house and even involved us in a decision about which one to buy.”
Simon from Aldwinckles Coffee Shop said:
“What a great way to promote local businesses and let people know what a fantastic town Market Harborough is and how lovely its surrounding areas, such as Great Bowden, are.”
