UK based craft condiment manufacturer Sauce Shop is launching an equity crowdfunding round on Crowdcube this month

The Nottingham based company, who now produce up to 4 tonnes of sauce per week across up to 20 flavours is aiming to reach £250,000 investment to enable a move to larger premises.

Sauce Shop’s multi award winning range is available in over 700 outlets across the UK and Ireland. Most recent listings are Dunnes in Ireland and an additional Sainsbury’s listing for two mayo lines (in addition to current 3 sauces) Also currently exporting to Sweden and the Middle East. This side of the business is set to grow with two new distributors onboard.

Food service is another area for growth with Sauce Shop sauces being served in over 50 UK pubs and restaurants by the end of 2018

The company is on a mission to “make eating exciting and food more flavoursome” and have an ethos of “if it doesn’t add flavour, it doesn’t go in”, using only natural ingredients to create the best tasting sauces.

The range, which has so far gained 11 Great Taste Awards and a Quality Food Award, includes ketchups, BBQ sauces, hot sauces and mayonnaise.

The brand was started by husband and wife James and Pam Digva from their home kitchen in West Bridgford in 2014. After deciding mainstream condiments were bland and boring, the couple decided they could do better. They have gone from supplying around 20 independent local retailers to distributing their products both nationally and internationally.

Bored with the mainstream, we came up with an alternative, choosing high quality ingredients to create better and more flavoursome sauces. We make no compromise. If it doesn’t add flavour it doesn’t go in. We get excited about real sauce that imparts better flavour. We want to challenge the status quo and elevate sauce to the next level by creating something different – extraordinarily punchy flavours carefully crafted with expertise.

The product range spans hot sauces, mayonnaise, ketchups and BBQ sauces.

Sauce Shop is proud to be a Nottingham based company, using local suppliers where possible and hiring local talent.
