Leicestershire logistics technology company appoints new sales director

Leicester based company 3T Logistics has appointed a new sales director with the remit of continuing to grow the business and to facilitate a transparent purchasing process for customers.

The company is Europe’s largest independent fourth party logistics provider. New sales director Rob Hutton brings over twenty years of experience working in the logistics sector in a range of customer-facing, commercial, managerial and leadership roles. His most recent position was at Kuehne + Nagel’s Military & Government Business Unit. Prior to that, Rob worked in business development roles within CEVA and TDG’s 4PL division.

Set up in 2000, 3T Logistics (www.3t-europe.com) develop and implement transport management applications which use the latest technology to enable customers such as Honda, JCB and Aggreko to manage complex logistics operations in-house. Their systems offer real-time information and automate many of the processes around transport management to reduce cost and improve levels of customer service.

As part of his new role, Rob aims to ensure the continuing development of innovative, customer-centric offerings at the same time as supporting customers in maximising the potential for efficiency and cost savings that 3T’s products offer.
