Thank you to those businesses who have already replied to this invitation. If you have not yet been able to respond, please reserve your place today for the Connect Reception next week.

We also hope you have saved the date for the KuKu Connect Annual Birthday Reception on Thursday, 3rd October - formal invitations will follow and our secret plans will be revealed soon!

We are also very excited to be producing the new KuKu Connect Almanac, so if you have been thinking about joining KuKu Connect, now is the time as our entire Membership directory is featured in the 2019 almanacs which is then promoted out to thousands of businesses across the region. We look forward to connecting with you next week at The Way of the Horse with Dina Shale - enjoy the sunshine!

For the August Connect Reception we are connecting out in the rolling Leicestershire countryside and will be hosted by the innovative Way of the Horse Discovery Centre and founder Dina Shale.

A not for profit social enterprise, the fascinating discovery centre focuses on people who have in different ways 'lost' their way in life, whether this is through a mental health condition, trauma, abuse, bereavement, low self confidence or a lack of motivation or direction; working with rescue horses as a reflective and rehabilitative tool.

Way of the Horse have worked with schools and businesses and run a range of programmes where individuals work with an unloved horse and together work their way through a series of programmes and methods, which over time allows a sense of healing which helps individuals overcome issues such as anger, self-doubt and anxiety. The healing process allows individuals to completely free themselves with 1-1 sessions guided by a trained psychotherapist. With 'Project Pony' for the individual through to Wellbeing in the Workplace which offer client-centred support packages all working with horses.

Many of the horses that come into the care of Dina and her small team were at death's door, abused, injured, abandoned with many destined for European export to be slaughtered for food. This unique organisation in Leicestershire is transforming well-being whilst taking care of rescue horses. Dina founded the organisation in 2015 based on her own life-experiences and with how her horse helped her own life and well-being as well as the Rescue Ranch which is the charity arm of the organisation.

We very much hope you will be able to join us in August for this unique Connect Reception, joining Dina and her rescue horses at the farm for all our usual KuKu style business networking, hospitality and to experience the centre.
