PPC Agency Teams Up with Grads4Nottm to Inspire Creative Thinking

Repeat Digital welcomes Film Production Technology students from Nottingham Trent University (NTU) to share skills and get a taste of agency life.

Specialist PPC Agency Repeat Digital has welcomed two graduates from Nottingham Trent University (NTU) for two weeks to support with video production and editing, as part of their final year of study.

The two students studying for a BSc in Film Production Technology joined Repeat Digital for work experience in June as part of the Grad4Nottm scheme run by NTU. The initiative is designed to highlight great businesses in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire and encourage students to stay on after graduation. It also provides local businesses with a cost-effective way to sample new talent and creates graduate opportunities.

Businesses anonymously submit challenges to students or graduates for them to solve over the work placement period. They then pick challenges that are best suited to their skills.

Celebrating its fifth year, the theme for 2019 was ‘Creative Thinking’ and Repeat Digital was keen to create digital content to help with promoting the agency. Repeat Digital founder and Director Olly Fisher commented:

“We’ve been wanting to create some professional looking content for a while but just didn’t have the time, nor the specialist film production skills. Taking part in this programme was a great way to learn new camera tricks for our future videos as well as give the students the opportunity to try out new equipment and implement the skills they’ve learnt over the last three years of their degree.”

Together they have created PPC ‘top tips’ video content as well as a 'join us' style recruitment film which will be used as promotional tools over the coming months.

Juliette Johnson a newly graduated Film Production Technology student said:

"The whole team were extremely friendly towards us the moment we met them which allowed us to feel less nervous. They provided us with an open and willing attitude towards different ideas when it came to planning each video.

"The office environment was very comfortable and welcoming with a very relaxed atmosphere. During rest and lunch breaks, we were able to get to know each member on a personal level which we really enjoyed doing."

Christie Ellis who also studied for a BSc in Film Production Technology and has now graduated, added:

"We’ve managed to connect with everyone on LinkedIn so this will allow us to keep in touch see what each of us gets up to in the future. Thank you to the whole team at Repeat Digital for an amazing two weeks!"

Olly concluded saying:

“As an NTU graduate myself, I’m always up for getting involved with the employment team at NTU and giving something back. Graduates have massive amounts to offer businesses like ours, which is why I love getting them involved with Repeat Digital.”

Repeat Digital has quickly established itself as a leading PPC agency since launching in 2017 and has now have four full time team members looking after its increasing client portfolio.
