Triple Award Win for Team Tanglewood!

Care staff from Tanglewood Care Homes are celebrating after the company won a hat-trick of awards at this year’s national Care Home Awards for the second year running.

The Care Home Awards, in association with Care Home Management, are an annual celebration of excellence and innovation across the care home sector in the UK.

At this year’s awards ceremony, Tanglewood claimed the title for three awards:

  • Best for Non-Clinical Facilities
  • Best Small Care Home Group of the Year (Under 50 Care Homes)
  • Best Training, Recruitment and Retention Initiative

Last year, the Lincolnshire-based care home provider also won three awards at the 2018 Care Home Awards. This year Tanglewood reclaimed two of last year’s awards while also achieving national recognition for its recruitment and retention of team members.

The 2019 Care Home Awards took place on Thursday 27th June at ExCel London during the Health and Care Show.

Tracy Ann Shelbourn, founder and CEO of Tanglewood, said:

“I would like to thank every member of the Tanglewood community, team members, residents, relatives, contractors and everyone associated with Tanglewood. Without their continuing hard work, dedication and inspirational support for our residents’ wellbeing, the Tanglewood way of life would not be possible.

“Every day continues to be an opportunity to learn something new, to share knowledge and to inspire others. At Tanglewood, we focus on providing dignity, compassion and kindness to the people we care for, while bringing some light-hearted fun into the lives of everyone associated with our community.

“2018 was an incredible year of transformation for Tanglewood and throughout 2019 we’ll continue to spearhead initiatives to drive health and social care forward, with a particular focus on technology and artificial intelligence.”

In 2018, Tanglewood was the first care home company in Europe to test game-changing fall detection technology. The system monitors movement and can detect falls, heart rate and breathing patterns using advanced artificial intelligence driven algorithms.
