Double Delight for Long Eaton Nursery Group

Celebrations at Children 1st Day Nurseries as both the company and its Main Street nursery are named in ‘Top 20  Most Recommended’ in the region by parents.

There was cause for celebration at Children 1st Day Nurseries on receiving the news that its Main Street nursery in Long Eaton has been rated amongst the best in the East Midlands by parents and carers. In addition, the company as a whole has been recognised as one of the ‘Top 20’ large nursery groups in the UK. 

The company’s nursery at Main Street, Long Eaton rated as ‘Outstanding in all Areas,’ by Ofsted, achieved this superb Top 20 Most Recommended placing for the third year in a row. The award was received from the industry’s top peer review site, The Top 20 recognises the most recommended day nurseries and nursery groups in the 12 regions of the UK and are awarded using the review scores submitted by parents and carers. All 20 nurseries in the East Midlands, including Main Street, received a review score of 9.9 out of 10.

With over 12,500 day nurseries and nursery schools in the UK, the nurseries are rated on their overall standard, facilities and outside space, learning resources, equipment, ICT, care, activities, staff, food and nutrition, management, cleanliness and safeguarding as well as value for money.

This prestigious commendation is a considerable achievement for Children 1st @  Main Street and is highly valued because it reflects the views of parents and carers who are so closely associated with the nursery.

In addition to this individual award, Children 1st Day Nurseries, which owns 24 nurseries across the Midlands and South Yorkshire has been named as one of the most recommended large nursery groups in the East Midlands. From its humble beginnings in 1988 as a single site nursery in Long Eaton, the company has flourished and now employs over 600 people, runs its own acclaimed training academy and supports over 3000 families. The company is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year with a range of fund raising events.
