Roythornes bolsters bold growth ambitions by appointing experienced recruiter

Rosie Hare has joined UK top 200 law firm Roythornes Solicitors as an internal recruiter. The appointment will help the company to realise its ambitious growth plans across its four offices, with a key focus on maximising the hot-bed of talent in Cambridgeshire to meet burgeoning client demand at its recently opened Alconbury office.

Rosie began her career recruiting for accountancy firms, including the “Big 5”. After this, she recruited teachers for London schools on an international basis before moving back to Lincolnshire where she joined a local specialist commercial recruiter based in Peterborough. Here, she supported Roythornes to recruit for both its Spalding and Alconbury sites.

Being aware of Roythornes’ reputation having recruited for them previously was one of the deciding factors in Rosie joining the team. Rosie said:

“Roythornes places the training and development of its people at the heart of everything it does. It has an excellent succession programme, promoting from within and offering people a range of opportunities to grow and develop. As a firm it has an ambitious mind-set and is always looking to the future, ensuring that the company nurtures today’s talent to become ‘Big Sky Thinkers’ and future leaders of the firm.”

Rosie is based at Roythornes’ Spalding office, but given the ambitious growth plans of the company she will also spend time in its Alconbury, Nottingham, and Peterborough offices.

Rosie will work closely with Roythornes managing director Vember Mortlock. Vember said:

“Bringing our recruitment in-house reflects the strength of our commitment to grow our teams with the best talent from across the region and further afield. We’re particularly focussing on the Cambridgeshire market where talent from the city and the region might be looking for a new challenge or a better work/life balance. A whole new community is being built at Alconbury, with housing, schools, surgeries, and leisure facilities, so it offers a fabulous home-life with the chance to work on the same quality of cases as in the city. As we are recruiting for roles from paralegals right up to partners across the firm, we’re delighted to have found Rosie to bring our recruitment function in-house.”

Roythornes is a national law firm with strategically located offices across the Midlands and East Anglia. The practice has particular expertise in private client, agriculture, food and property sectors and has been listed for the past two years as one of the 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain by the London Stock Exchange. The firm was also named by The Lex 100 Survey as one of the top legal practices for trainee solicitors.
