Quiet Storm backs IoD Awards

Quiet Storm Solutions was delighted to support one of the region’s leading business awards programmes for 2019.

The Whitwick-based firm, which combines creativity and technical expertise to develop bespoke business solutions which help its clients to improve their people, processes and performance, was one of the sponsors of the Institute of Directors’ Director of the Year Awards.

The awards aimed to recognise and reward the achievements of the most dynamic and inspiring directors of businesses, public sector bodies and community organisations across the region.

More than 300 guests attended a celebration lunch at the lavish, Grade II-listed Winstanley House, in Leicester, yesterday, where the winners were unveiled.

Quiet Storm sponsored the Large Business category, which was won by Sean Ramsden, CEO of wholesale groceries exporter Ramsden International.

Unfortunately, Sean couldn’t be at the event in person, so Quiet Storm Director Philip Megson presented the award to a colleague, who collected it on Sean’s behalf.

Philip said: “Quiet Storm is a big believer in supporting the community here in the East Midlands, whether that is by providing resource and expertise to local charitable organisations, forging links with local schools and colleges to give youngsters the opportunity to experience the world of work, or supporting our fellow business leaders at events like Love Business.

“We were delighted to support this year’s IoD Awards, because they are there to recognise the effort, hard work, commitment and passion shown by directors across the East Midlands, who drive their organisations – and the economy – forward.

“SMEs form the backbone of the UK’s economy, so anything which gives them the recognition they deserve is worthy of our support.”
