Housing site visit suits pupils to a tee!

Schoolchildren from Scraptoft on the edge of Leicester visited a local housing development to test out a mini-golf course at the site.

Scraptoft Valley Primary School pupils were welcomed to Bellway’s Goodridge development to see the new homes and use the fun on-site facility.

The mini-golf course consists of five holes and is available for residents and visitors alike to enjoy for free while the development takes shape.

Bellway East Midlands Sales Director, Carolyne Watkinson, said:

“The mini-golf course was put in place as a great interactive experience to keep both residents and visitors entertained.

“It was great to welcome youngsters from the local school to the site to show them the new homes under construction and have fun playing golf.”

She added: “We try to find new ways of bringing the community together, and our mini-golf course has been a great hit so far.

“We would encourage house-hunters to come along and visit us to see what the development has to offer.”

Headteacher of Scraptoft Valley Primary School, Louise Craig, said:

"Our children enjoyed the opportunity to try the mini-golf course, the friendly competition soon got under way!

“After the first round they were keen to start a new round to try and better their score.

“The facility makes a great addition to an afternoon of house hunting for families.”

Bellway is building a range of three, four and five-bedroom homes at Goodridge in Beeby Road, Scraptoft.
