Nottinghamshire IT Firm Secures £110K Construction Contract

Nottinghamshire-based Your IT Department has secured a £110K contract with Staffordshire construction giant, PCE Limited, cementing its position as a market leader in outsourced IT solutions for the construction industry.

Based in Tamworth, PCE Ltd is a recognised leader in the design and build of offsite hybrid engineered structures, using concrete and steel. And with efficiency at the heart of the company’s modular approach to construction, its way of doing things dovetails very effectively with that of Your IT Department.

Sarah Blackwell, PCE Business Support Director, said:

“At PCE, our rationalised design solutions revolve around a ‘Kit of Parts’ philosophy. It’s an approach that helps us save time, safeguard quality and guarantee greater ease of manufacture."

With regards to Your IT Department’s role in the company’s activities, Sarah is very clear:

“Our electronic business systems are vital in helping preserve the pace and accuracy of our various projects, so having Your IT Department on the team is a real step forward. It will enable us to further maximise the efficiency of our operations, without compromising costs.”

PCE is now on a fully managed IT-support package, which includes a full-time Service Desk including unlimited remote and onsite support, a dedicated Account Manager and a LiveChat Support Portal. It also features a comprehensive range of client-specific services, encompassing everything from Anti-Virus management and email filtering to server monitoring, monthly service reporting and Office 365 Licensing.

Founded by Simon Cox and Lee Hewson in 2009, Your IT Department offers businesses an outsourced IT solution, providing everything that an in-house IT department does but at a fraction of the cost. It has proved a very attractive proposition, enabling Your IT Department to grow rapidly over the past ten years, upgrading its office facilities three times and attracting many customers from the construction sector.

And as Lee says, the contract with PCE is the latest validation of Your IT Department’s modern and flexible approach: “We no longer live in an era when IT support is limited to the piecemeal fixing of individual problems - and equally, in the sphere of competitive business, it makes no commercial sense simply to absorb the overheads related to in-house IT employees.

“PCE Ltd is a really modern and progressive construction company, so it fully understands that. It understands the importance of speed and cost-effectiveness. That’s exactly what we provide and we couldn’t be more delighted that they’ve chosen us to help them take things forward over the next three years.”
