Record year for Nottingham digital agency

Nottingham-based digital marketing agency Impression has announced a record year of growth for the business following a string of new account wins over the past 12 months.

The agency, based at Fothergill House on King Street in the city centre, has began new partnerships with more than 20 national and international clients since the start of January alone, including the likes of Cancer Research UK, Brewdog and Giant Bicycles.

It has also announced a 68% increase in year-on-year financial growth for 2018/19 at a time where the company looks set to reach the 50 members of staff mark over the next couple of months.

Commenting on the success, Aaron Dicks, Co-founder and Managing Director at Impression, said:

“The last year has been instrumental for the long term success of Impression and the digital marketing space in Nottingham as a whole. To be able to say we are working with some of the UK’s most established brands is a real privilege and shows what can be achieved outside of London.”

Impression continues to work closely with both Nottingham Trent University and the University of Nottingham on its Digital Marketing Academy initiative, designed to equip students with the digital skills to maximise their chances of securing a role once they have finished their degree.

“Nottingham has become a real hub of digital marketing in recent years and we are keen to maintain that momentum in the coming years. A big part of this is ensuring that we encourage the best graduates to remain in the city after finishing university and making them aware of the opportunities available to work with some of the UK’s biggest brands. You don’t need to necessarily be in larger hubs such as London to access these,” adds Aaron.

The business is continuing to invest in internal staff training and development in the coming months and has recently renovated its office space to allow further 1:1 collaboration and discussion between teams. It has plans to recruit a further ten members of staff in 2019 including an account manager, marketing manager, PPC and PR specialists in the coming months, as well as its upcoming cohort of recruits to its graduate training programme.

Impression has recently announced 11 shortlistings in the upcoming European Search Awards, which take place in Budapest in June. Last year it picked up the award for Best Large SEO Agency.
