Howes Percival appoints three newly qualified solicitors

Following the successful completion of their training contracts with Howes Percival, three newly qualified solicitors have decided to continue their careers with the firm's Leicester office.

Jasmine Mason and Emma Lant have joined the Commercial Property team, while Donna-Marie Helgeson has qualified into the Commercial Litigation team.

Jasmine Mason, Commercial Property

Jasmine deals with all aspects of commercial property. She predominantly advises developer and landowner clients on residential land matters.  She also advises high net worth individuals and property investments companies on the acquisition and disposal of investment portfolios.

Emma Lant, Commercial Property

Emma will be specialising in the acquisition and disposal of development land, acting for both landowners and developers, as well as option agreements, promotion agreements and affordable housing transactions.  She also has experience of leasehold work, acting for both landlords and tenants.

Donna-Marie Helgeson, Commercial Litigation

Donna-Marie deals with a range of commercial litigation, property litigation and regulatory matters. She has experience in contractual disputes in the County Court, interim-applications and contentious insolvency matters.

Howes Percival's training contract comprises four six-month seats in which the trainees spend time working in different departments to experience different areas of law. Trainees also usually split their time between Howes Percival offices in order to gain a broader experience of the firm as a whole.

Satnam Chayra, a Partner at Howes Percival's Leicester office said,

"I'm delighted that Jasmine, Emma and Donna-Marie have decided to continue their careers with us. People are our most important asset, so we invest heavily to ensure that our trainees and junior lawyers get the best start possible for their legal career.  We believe that training is about much more than administrative tasks and involvement in isolated issues.  We are a full-service firm which gives our trainees the opportunity to work and gain experience across a variety of legal areas.  Right from the outset, we like our trainees to work as part of the team and to be involved in matters from start to finish."

Howes Percival's Leicester office provides a full-service legal offering. In addition to corporate and commercial law, the office specialises in real estate, intellectual property, insolvency and corporate recovery, employment law, commercial litigation, property litigation, estates, private client and family matters.
