Two new hires for marketing and design agency

Lincoln based marketing and design agency, Purple Robot has hired two new designers to support the business’ growing client base.

Purple Robot works with organisations across Lincolnshire and the UK to manage their marketing and brand design.

Nicole Purdy joins Purple Robot as a Graphic Designer, having previously been a designer at Lincoln cosmetics firm, Beauty Boulevard. A former winner of Apprentice of the Year at the Lincolnshire Business Awards, Nicole brings several years of design experience from the cosmetics industry.

Nicole said:

“I fell in love with graphic design at school and I’m really fulfilling my dream. I joined Beauty Boulevard as an apprentice before moving into their design team and now I’ve joined Purple Robot, I feel like I’ve taken the next big step in my career. I’m now designing material for lots of different brands and I’m really enjoying the work.

“At Purple Robot, I’ll be supporting the growth of the design side of the business, particularly around Limitless; helping companies to really stand out from the crowd with attention grabbing, professional graphic design.

“Lots of businesses think of graphic design as a luxury they can’t afford, but there are a lot of small things businesses can do that would really improve their overall image.”

Also joining the company is Chris Leontiou. Having completed a degree in media production at the University of Lincoln, Chris is taking on the role of Marketing Intern and will be bringing his expertise in design as well as his passion for learning how marketing and design work together.

Chris said:

“I’m really excited to get out and work in the industry after university. I’ve only been here a few days and I’ve already seen some of the graphics I’ve worked on getting used in real life, which feels great. I’m working on material for some really interesting clients including British Superbikes and the South Ormsby Estate and the work is really varied and creative. Visual identities and branding is something I’ve worked on before, but making graphics for social media and email marketing has been good experience for me.

“The team at Purple Robot are really friendly and helpful. I’ve learned so much already and I’m looking forward to seeing what I’ll be able to produce over the coming months.”

Part of Purple Robot’s unique approach is a focus on return-on-investment and making marketing pay as a results-driven business. The company also offers Limitless graphic design, where clients can have all the everyday graphic design they might need for a standard flat fee per month.

The success of this formula has helped Purple Robot to grow from a one-man-band to a full team of six in two years.

Nicole and Chris join the company at an exciting time: The company will soon be relocating to new premises and it has recently secured a number of new clients from Lincolnshire and across the region.

Every year, Purple Robot chooses a charity that it raises funds for throughout the year. This year, the team is raising money for The ChILD Lung Foundation; a cause which both newcomers are excited to be supporting.

Founder and Managing Director of Purple Robot, Damien Howard-Pask said:

“I’m thrilled to be welcoming Nicole and Chris to the Purple Robot team. Both of them have really impressed me with their skill and passion for helping businesses to stand out and look good and I know they’ll help us reach new heights.

“When I started Purple Robot, I was working on my own in the box room of my house as a freelance marketing consultant and the idea of growing to have a team of six within two years seemed wildly optimistic - and yet here we are! Our recent growth has been phenomenal and the company has gone from strength to strength. The coming months will see even more big news for our business which will see us taking another major step forward.”
