Love Business drive day a Huge Success

More than 30 business leaders from across the region got the chance to put the latest hybrid Lexus and Toyota models to the test at a unique driving event from Love Business.

We hosted the Love Business Hybrid Experience in partnership with Inchcape Derby, to help local companies learn more about the benefits of hybrid driving. It took place at the Pattonair County Ground, home of Derbyshire County Cricket Club, earlier this week.

The event gave local businesses the opportunity to experience hybrid driving in a range of the latest Lexus and Toyota models, as well as learn about the technology and tax benefits of operating a fleet of self-charging hybrid vehicles.

Local business development managers from Lexus and Toyota were on hand to give advice on hybrid technology and taxation.

Informal networking also took place over a buffet lunch.

Hybrid vehicles offer significant savings on fuel costs, reduced CO2 emissions, a lower tax contribution for business drivers, and a smooth, stress-free drive.

The cars are petrol-electric, meaning they recharge themselves rather than needing to be plugged in.

At least 50% of an average journey in a hybrid car is completed in electric mode, which means less fuel is consumed.
