Morley Hayes named East Midlands Wedding Venue of the Year

Derbyshire hotel, wedding and leisure complex Morley Hayes has been named East Midlands Wedding Venue of the Year at the 2019 I Do Wedding Awards.

The venue on Main Road in Morley beat off fierce competition from venues across the region to win the coveted award, which was presented at a special awards evening at Sheffield City Hall.

Now in their fifth year, the I Do Magazine Wedding Awards celebrate success and recognise achievements of wedding suppliers from across the Midlands, Yorkshire and Humberside.

Dubbed the ‘People’s Awards’, they are decided entirely by the votes of the couples who have personally used their services.

The Wedding Venue of the Year award recognises those venues across the East Midlands that offer an exceptional wedding experience and go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction.

Morley Hayes has been performing wedding ceremonies since 2006. In 2012 the venue was granted a licence to perform outdoor weddings in a specially constructed wedding dome, situated in the picturesque Morley Hayes gardens.

In 2017, Morley Hayes launched its woodland wedding service, which gives couples the chance to take their vows amongst wildflowers and beneath spectacular towering pines, horse chestnut and beech trees, with breath-taking views beyond.

Woodland wedding ceremonies take place in a private lodge, situated in a secluded part of the Morley Hayes woodlands. Guests can enjoy the intimate ceremony seated on oak benches, beside the old-fashioned lych-gate overlooking the woods.

New for Summer 2019 is The Meadow at Morley Hayes - a new woodland meadow area, where the wedding party can enjoy drinks and canapes following the ceremony. There are plans for blessings to take place in this area too.
