Two senior appointments as Tank continues to grow

Digital PR agency Tank has announced two senior level appointments following a succession of new business wins.

Based in Nottingham’s Lace Market, Tank provides PR, digital and social media services to a variety of high profile brands across the UK, Europe and North America.

Joining the team as account director is Martyn Gettings, who has nearly a decade’s experience in the PR industry, working both agency-side and in-house. Martyn specialises in tech PR, having led successful campaigns for the likes of Telstra, SES and Newtech, as well as working as PR and content manager for logistics technology firm Microlise.

Commenting on his decision to join the team, Martyn said:

“Tank’s vibrancy and creativity is obvious. It stands out as an agency with a difference, filled with talented individuals; and I wanted to surround myself with the best PR and digital professionals in the business. Tank continues to grow and has a really diverse B2B and B2C customer-base that I am excited to work with. I also want to build something great, leveraging my background in tech comms, along with Tank's dynamic brand and capabilities, to create a new tech PR powerhouse.”

Alongside Martyn, Tank welcomes John Faye as account manager.

For the past two years, John has been the assistant global brand manager for historic British automotive manufacturer Caterham Cars. He previously worked for international creative company Moving Brands and London-based strategic design agency 20.20, where he was a client of Tank.

“I loved working alongside Tank as a client and always admired the team’s energy and drive,” said John. “I was excited by the opportunity to join the agency myself and look forward to playing my part in Tank’s continual growth.”

Martin Stone, associate director at Tank, added:

“The agency has grown significantly in the past 12-months. Not only have we purchased our own three-storey building in the heart of the Lace Market, but we’ve also had several notable client wins.

“We’re in a strong position to expand our own team, with Martyn and John both bringing new ideas, skills and experience to Tank.”

In the PR Week Global Agency Business Report 2018, Tank ranked 73rd in the top 100 UK consumer PR agencies, 60th for UK corporate PR and 156th in the overall best agencies listing. Tank was the highest East Midlands PR agency to feature in the report.
