Hinckley stylist through to finals of national student competition

A trainee stylist at KH Hair in Hinckley is through to the UK finals of a top student hairdressing competition.

Catie Atkinson (17) triumphed in the Academy category at the regional heats of Wella Professionals XPOSURE event - an initiative designed to help students take their first steps on the competition ladder.

Apprentice Catie, will now go through to the UK final of the competition which will be held at Wella's London studios on Monday 3 June. 

“I was so happy to even have made it to the regional heats, but to be in the final is a dream come true." said Catie.  "I'm so happy and proud and can't wait to go down to London and showcase my skills live on stage again."

Helen Fuller, salon director at KH Hair Hinckley, said:

"We're all over the moon and delighted for Catie. As we provide our own training via the award-winning KH Hair Academy and in salon, it means every member of my team can take genuine pride in this outcome. Well done Catie!"
