Building on their reputation for developing highly interactive and engaging sport websites for teams such as Derby County FC, Rotherham United FC, and Middlesex and Derbyshire County Cricket Clubs, full service digital marketing agency has now been appointed by Leyton Orient Football Club.

The need to communicate with fans, sometimes on a global basis, 24 hours a day has meant that many sports clubs are re-evaluating how they interact with fans at every level.

In the past, clubs have been able to be part of national deals brokered by their association to use a standard web platform they can tailor to reflect their team name and club colours. The Purpose Media platform has been developed to allow sports to completely customise their content according to the needs of their fans and their other related activities such as conferencing and events, community activities and business partnerships.

The result is a website and digital platform that enables sports teams to engage better with fans, whilst driving revenue and delivering operational cost savings. They have the ability to manage on-line ticketing and integrate all marketing channels such as social, video and email marketing with their customer database. They can also align activities with sponsorship deals.

Jamie Bourn, Account Director at Purpose Media, which is based in South Normanton commented,

“Leyton Orient were keen to take a rapid approach towards their digital transformation and decided to transfer to our tried and tested web platform which offers a range of customisable options.

“Our ongoing approach will see us support Leyton Orient with ongoing strategic marketing advice, they’re a great organisation and we’re looking forward to using our skills to act as an extension of their team. Combining the knowledge we have in-house means have already delivered some impressive results for other sports clubs and Leyton Orient was keen to learn from this experience to engage better with its fanbase.”

Commenting on behalf of Leyton Orient FC, Elliot Byrne, Media Manager, said,

“Leyton Orient is delighted to be working with Purpose Media on the development of our new official website. We’ve undertaken a rigorous search for a new partner and Purpose Media was the outstanding candidate.

“We wanted to partner with an agency that had a proven track record, outstanding ability and a desire to work with the Club and Purpose Media fitted the bill.  We are very excited about the work that we have already done with them.

“We believe the website has huge potential and envisage it being at the core of our media strategy moving forward as a central hub for all forms of content for supporters. The decision to leave the EFL Digital platform has been made to help us realise that potential and create the best online experience for supporters we can.”

Leyton Orient Football Club is a professional football club based in Leyton, London, England. They currently play in the Vanarama National League. They are known to their fans as the O's and the club's home colours are all red. Their home matches are played at The Breyer Group Stadium.
