Inspiring Business by Sharing Success

Lexus & Toyota models to star at Love Business Hybrid Experience

Leading Lexus and Toyota dealership Inchcape is teaming up with Love Business to help local companies learn more about the benefits of hybrid driving.

The Love Business Hybrid Experience will take place at the Pattonair County Ground, home of Derbyshire County Cricket Club, on 23 May.

The event will give local businesses the opportunity to experience hybrid driving in a range of the latest Lexus and Toyota models, as well as learn about the technology and tax benefits of operating a fleet of self-charging hybrid vehicles.

Hybrid vehicles offer significant savings on fuel costs, reduced CO2 emissions,  lower tax and national insurance contributions for business drivers, a smooth, stress-free drive and a host of other benefits.

The cars are petrol-electric, meaning they recharge themselves rather than needing to be plugged in. At least 50% of an average journey in a hybrid car is completed in electric mode, which means less fuel is consumed.

At the event, drivers can take part in a 15-mile test route in one of the vehicles, with prizes on offer to those who achieve the lowest MPG fuel consumption.

Local business development managers from Lexus and Toyota will be on hand to give advice on hybrid technology and taxation.

Test slots are available from 10am until 3pm, with a free networking buffet lunch served at 12.30pm.

Steve Megson, Managing Director of Love Business founder Quiet Storm, said:

“We’re delighted to be teaming up with Inchcape, Toyota and Lexus to deliver the Love Business Hybrid Experience, which is set to be an action-packed day of driving.

“One of the key aims of Love Business is to help keep local businesses up-to-date with the latest information, trends and technologies to help them succeed. Hybrid motoring is a way for local firms to get more from their corporate fleet, reduce their CO2 emissions and take advantage of the tax benefits this brings.”

Roy Munson, Local Business Development Manager at Inchcape Derby, added:

“The Love Business Hybrid Experience is all about helping local businesses discover the benefits of hybrid driving.

“Self-charging hybrid  technology eliminates range anxiety – the fear of running out of charge halfway through a journey – and means you get far more out of a hybrid vehicle than a normal car, more miles per gallon and more money saved,  as well as wasting far less energy by adapting to suit your driving style.

“Businesses can come along to our event to test drive the latest models and hear from expert advisers about how to integrate hybrid vehicles into their fleet to become more efficient and environmentally-friendly.”
