£250 donation from leading developer helps fund accessible facilities at local church

A church in Coalville has received a £250 donation from a Leicestershire based homebuilder that will aid funding towards the improvement of the parish’s facilities.

Leading developer David Wilson Homes has helped fund a brand new toilet facility at St Peter’s Church in Bardon Hill.

The donation is part of the homebuilder’s Community Fund scheme.

The grant was presented at the Church’s Sunday service on Bardon Road and will be used to make the church more accessible with a new toilet facility.

"Everyone at St. Peter's Church is incredibly grateful to David Wilson Homes for their kind donation,” said Gill Pinnington, a Reverend at the Church.

“We have wanted to provide toilet facilities at the Church for a long time and every donation we receive helps us to progress and improve, so we want to thank David Wilson Homes for their generosity. “

The Parish was nominated by Abby Pearson, a Commercial Administrator at David Wilson Homes East Midlands, whose family have attended the Church for the past 40 years.

“Nominating the Church was important to me, as a toilet is vital for St Peters to be able to fully utilise the space that they have,” Abby said.

"Our office is in the parish of St Peters, so it is fantastic that we have been able to help towards such a woeth local cause."

John Reddington, Managing Director at David Wilson Homes East Midlands, believes the Community Fund scheme is a wonderful way to engage with the nearby area and fund improvements that locals can see for themselves.

“Ever since the recent launch of our Community Fund scheme, we have been able to provide heartfelt charities and organisations with funding that has enabled them to make a real difference.

“We’re delighted to have aided in the funding for a new toilet facility at St Peter’s Church and ultimately help them to create a welcoming space.

“We’re looking forward to seeing the progress the Church makes and how our future donations to the area close by will make a difference.”
