Nottingham Insurance Broker Offers SMEs New Cyber Accreditation Tool

With cyberattacks becomingly more costly and targeted, Nottingham’s leading independent insurance broker, Russell Scanlan, is offering SMEs free access to Cyber AMI, a new must-have tool in protecting their business from cyber threats*.

Cyber AMI is a web-based business app to help small businesses obtain and maintain compliance with Cyber Essentials, the government’s risk management specification for cyber threats. Widely considered to be the minimum benchmark for cyber security, compliance with the Cyber Essentials scheme can reduce the risk of threats from the internet by 70-80%.  Businesses can obtain an official Cyber Essentials certification to demonstrate compliance, which is increasingly demanded in both public and private sector contracts. Legal practices that are Lexcel or Conveyancing Quality Scheme accredited should also hold Cyber Essentials accreditation.

Working in partnership with Berea, Russell Scanlan is offering businesses a subscription to Cyber AMI which will manage the annual Cyber Essentials certification process for you.  Allowing you to progress at your own pace, it provides a modular assessment and education support journey, designed to guide the non-technical laymen through Cyber Essentials in plain English.  It enables businesses to implement better risk management practices without the expense of a consultant, whom now often charge in excess of £1000 per day.

“The Cyber AMI app offers a straightforward and easy way to manage the whole Cyber Essentials accreditation process with no jargon, hassle or fuss.  The subscription normally costs £300 but we have five licensees available which we are offering to SMEs as part of our cyber protection support.”
