Inspiring Business by Sharing Success

Everybody’s free to feel GOOD! at The Lifestyle Show

Nineties pop icon Rozalla, will be the special guest performer at a ‘first of its kind’ event in Derby which will give local and online businesses the opportunity to showcase their products and services.

The Lifestyle Show takes place on 18 May, at The Roundhouse, Pride Park. It aims to connect consumers with a range of local businesses that cater to at least one aspect of their lifestyle, from spas and boutique hotels to travel consultants, property experts and local artisan food and drink suppliers.

It will give exhibitors the opportunity to meet new customers, increase their profile and raise brand awareness, as well as showcase their business and network with like-minded businesses.

And to top it all off, singer Rozalla, who had the UK top ten hit Everybody’s Free (To Feel Good) in 1991, will perform her greatest hits at the event, along with her new number, Turn on the Light.

A host of local firms have been lined up to sponsor the event, including Marketing Derby Bondholders ‘AVIT Media, SJC Marketing, NK Motors Derby, Koa Consulting, The Modern Gentleman and Cosam Entertainment.

Although free to attend for visitors, the event will collect donations in support of Rainbows Children’s Hospice.

Buckso Dhillon-Woolley, founder and creative head at BC Lifestyle Events, which is organising the show, said:

“There is a thriving community of lifestyle businesses here in the East Midlands and the main aim of this event is to give them a platform to showcase their brands to local consumers, be it those with a shop front or those online.

“We spotted a clear gap in the market for this type of B2C show, which will give visitors the chance to discover what local lifestyle businesses have to offer as well as enjoying some amazing food and drink coupled with top class entertainment.”

Buckso was a recent recipient of the Twitter #WOW award, which is run weekly by Ann Summers founder Jacqueline Gold, who spotted the potential Buckso has in creating this type of event where a collaborative, not competitive mindset, is encouraged.

Jacqueline Gold said:

“BC Lifestyle Events provides a space where business people and companies can come together to network, with a focus on collaboration.

“Buckso’s experience with these types of events exposed her to a gap in the market enabling her to create an event which has a more encouraging atmosphere.

“This allows companies to nurture relationships for growth and partnership rather than competition. Buckso’s commitment to spreading positivity sets her company apart and I wish her every success in the future.”
