East Midlands Chamber launch new marketing forum

East Midlands Chamber of Commerce has launched a new learning and development forum to help local businesses improve their marketing.

Chamber strategic partner and patrons Purpose Media and Annica Digital have been appointed as the marketing experts responsible for running the forums. Each event will be designed to help businesses owners and people in marketing roles to understand key marketing trends and provide them with a toolkit that gives practical advice that will help them take their marketing up a notch.

The first of the Marketing Forums takes place on 25 April, at The Derbyshire Hotel, South Normanton, and Meetpoint Midlands, Kegworth on Tuesday 30 April between 8am to 11.30am.

Delegates will learn about identifying target audiences, branding, marketing personas and using data analytics. They will also have access to a panel of experts who will answer questions from the floor.

Ian Bates, the Chamber’s Forums Manager, said:

“We understand the responsibility that underpins successful marketing and we also know it can be tough learning new techniques and sharing knowledge when you’re working on delivery.”

Commenting on the launch of the new forum, Katrina Starkie, Marketing Director at Purpose Media said,

“Those responsible for marketing often work in isolation, under lots of pressure to deliver and with few opportunities to network with people in similar roles to share ideas and learn best practice. This forum is a brilliant opportunity for those in marketing roles to pick up some tips they can use in their work, and get some valuable insight from their peers.”

Ann Stanley from Annica Digital added,

“The secret to successful marketing lies in understanding customers, the stage they are at in the buying cycle and knowing which of the multitude of promotional tactics available to use so that when searching for information or ready to buy they know about your product or service.”

The marketing forums are supported by Experian and the Digital Growth Programme, funded by the European Development Fund (ERDF). The aim is to help people who are responsible for marketing to fully understand their customers and ensure their marketing activities deliver a return on investment.

Both events are free to attend, but places are limited, so booking is essential via the Chamber’s website: https://bit.ly/2H4IEQp.
