Walesby Forest unveils exciting new branding and website ahead of a packed 2019

Nottinghamshire outdoor activity centre Walesby Forest has officially unveiled its new branding and website as the popular tourism and leisure facility gets ready for a busy 2019.

The new brand, created by Nottingham-based creative agency The Dairy, has been a work-in-progress for several months and was a high priority for the centre’s Chief Executive Guy Laurie - who joined the company in 2018.

“When I came to Walesby, one of the first things I noticed was the tired and dated look-and-feel of the brand. It was long overdue a refresh - and that didn’t just cover the logo, but the messaging, website and all of the supporting collateral,” said Guy.

Walesby Forest, founded in 1938, is situated in north Nottinghamshire within the boundaries of Sherwood Forest - taking in over 250 acres of woodland and outdoor space with its own lake, accommodation and dining facilities. The attraction is popular with a range of groups including scouts and guides, schools, corporate bookings and the general public.

Visitors can take part in over 30 activities including raft building, canoeing, laser quest, assault courses and archery, as well as enjoying the great outdoors.

“We started working with The Dairy Creative Agency in late 2018 with the aim of taking the brand on a journey. After one of their excellent brand planning workshops, we quickly established a new direction for Walesby and the fruits of our labours can now be seen in our modern, clean branding and fantastic new website - all of which forms the basis of a platform for what will follow,”

The rebrand comes at the perfect time for Guy and Walesby, with the centre already seeing strong bookings for 2019 and a steady list of events in the pipeline for the year ahead.

“We have already seen our catering pre-bookings increase by 36% compared to this time last year and we have 257 groups booked in for 2019 so far - and it’s only February! We will also be opening the site for walk-ins over the Easter weekend - allowing the public to come and explore all of the fantastic facilities we have to offer. In total we anticipate over 13,000 visitors will come through our gates this year, which is fantastic!”
