Financial firm expands services and snaps up pension transfer specialist

Derby financial services firm Glenrose Financial Planners is adding new services to its portfolio after recruiting fresh experience to its team.

Pension transfer specialist and experienced chartered financial planner Neil Melton has joined the team at Glenrose, meaning the firm will now be offering additional specialist services in-house to support individuals in the management of their pension choices and personal finance portfolios.

Neil has 25 years’ experience in financial services, is a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society and holds the highest level of qualifications possible for any financial adviser, having achieved Chartered Financial Planner status in 2012.

He also holds a Masters’ in financial planning and business management and joins Glenrose having been a co-director of a financial services firm for more than two decades.

Chris Leafe, Glenrose’s founder, said:

“Pension transfer advice is a hot topic, but excellent advice is hard to find.

“The subject is often portrayed as a set of simple choices. However, it is far from straightforward. It is essential to have a complete understanding of such a detailed and complex range of issues from the pension providers, the pensions in question, legislation and Government policy. The requirement to have a specialist is clear.

“Until now, Neil has been supporting Glenrose’s customers from outside of our firm, but now we are very pleased to be able to offer our client base the best pension transfer advice available, exclusive to Glenrose.”

Neil added:

“I’m looking forward to developing Glenrose’s already impressive client base and bringing my skill-set on board to benefit this established and reputable business.

“Looking after your financial portfolio is essential, however, the marketplace changes so frequently it is unachievable for any individual to completely keep pace with what’s best for their finances.

“With fluctuating pension options and the ever-changing political climate, without professional support, it makes it impossible for people to know what the most profitable pension route to take is and how it’s best to capitalise on their money, both now and in the future.

“Being able to offer pension transfer advice to Glenrose’s large customer base will be very rewarding. I am there to help individuals navigate the complex pension market and to develop most profitable tailor-made pension solutions for each customer, ensuring that they can make the most of their hard-earned cash and have it in all the right pension pots.”
