Nottinghamshire charities and organisations to benefit from launch of community fund

Leading Nottinghamshire developer Barratt and David Wilson Homes North Midlands has launched a Community Fund scheme to strengthen its ties with the areas in which it is building new homes.

The Barratt and David Wilson Homes Community Fund will donate £1,000 each month to a charity or organisation within its operational areas, which include Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and Warwickshire, supporting the activities carried out in the local area.

Chris Southgate, Managing Director at Barratt and David Wilson Homes North Midlands, said:

“We’re delighted to be launching the Community Fund, a scheme which will be able to offer valuable support to charities and organisations within the local areas in which we build.

“As the country’s largest housebuilder we are committed to creating a positive legacy. We want to lead the industry not just in the quality of the homes and developments we build, but also in our work with charities and good causes throughout the UK.”

Last year £1.2 million was donated across the company in the UK, but this year the goal is to raise that figure considerably, through such work as the new Barratt and David Wilson Homes Community Fund.

In 2019, Barratt and David Wilson Homes North Midlands is also supporting Treetops Hospice as its Charity of the Year, whilst last year the homebuilder was fundraising for Alzheimer’s Society.
