Inspiring Business by Sharing Success

Ramsey's Cooking On Gas After Being Shortlisted for Prestigious Industry Award

High-end kitchen designer Ramsey’s is hoping to clean up in a prestigious awards scheme after being shortlisted from a record number of entries.

The Long Eaton-based family-run business - which has sold kitchens and bathrooms to footballers, soap stars and musicians - has made the final cut in the kbbreview Retail & Design Awards 2019.

The scheme is a celebration of the very best retailers, designers and manufacturers in the kitchen and bathroom industry.

They are the longest running and most prestigious awards in the sector and 2019 marks the 25th anniversary of the awards.

Ramsey’s, which has seen stars including strongman Geoff Capes, Coronation Street actress Sally Dynevor and several Derby County and Nottingham Forest players through its doors, beat off tough competition from across the country to make it to the final four in the Kitchen Retailer of the Year category.

Demonstrating business success, unique ideas and initiative and showroom effectiveness were among the criteria that entrants had to show in their submissions.

The finalists were whittled down after an expert judging panel reviewed all entries and scored them independently.

Later this month, the finalists will present their projects to the panel in London, then the judges will visit their showrooms, before the winners are announced at a glittering gala at Manchester’s Victoria Warehouse on April 4.

Ramsey Dawson, managing director of Ramsey’s, said:

"We are absolutely thrilled to have been shortlisted in the kbbreview Retail & Design Awards 2019.

“It’s the first time we have entered and it’s a big coup as the awards are very prestigious in our industry - it would be the ultimate endorsement if we won.”

The shortlisting comes after a successful year for Ramsey’s, which included a £150,000 renovation, that resulted in a state-of-the art showroom now featuring smart kitchens, Wi-Fi ovens and the very latest in cutting edge design.

Last year, Kitchens by JS Geddes, of Kilmarnock, won the Kitchen Retailer of the Year category.
