Pegasus Group promotions recognise ambitious growth plans

National consultancy Pegasus Group has welcomed in the new year with a series of internal promotions.

The Group specialises in planning, design, environment, economics and heritage and has more than 280 skilled and experienced staff operating from 12 offices in 11 locations across the UK.

Associate Planner Neil Tiley, based at the company’s Cirencester office, has been promoted to Director, while a further 10 key members of staff have been promoted to Associate.

Kate Holden (Bristol) and Greg Shaw (Cambridge) have both been promoted from Principal Planner to Associate.

Three further promotions in the Cirencester office see Rebecca Pass go from Principal to Associate Layout Designer, Andrew Vivian from Principal to Associate Urban Designer and Oliver Watkins from Principal to Associate Architectural Designer.

Marie Stacey and Spencer Moulds (East Midlands) have been promoted from Principal to Associate Planner and Principal to Associate Urban Designer respectively, while in Liverpool Steve Williams has also gone from Principal to Associate Urban Designer.

In the Leeds office, Michael Cheng has been promoted from Principal to Associate Urban Designer with Laura Garcia from Principal to Associate Heritage Consultant. The London office sees Kate Simpson promoted from Principal to Associate Planner.

Neil Tiley joined Pegasus Group in 2014 from Wiltshire Council where he was responsible for establishing the objectively assessed need for housing and representing the council at housing land supply appeals. He has demonstrated a firm understanding of planning policy matters and a particular expertise in housing related policy matters, representing a broad range of clients through the Local Plan and Neighbourhood Plan processes.

Kate Holden joined in November 2016 and although chiefly instructed for planning applications and appeals, work also involves strategic planning functions such as site promotion through the plan making process.

Greg is a chartered Town Planner with ten years of experience working across the public and private sector in the United Kingdom. Greg has accrued extensive experience of appraising the planning potential of land and then implementing an effective planning strategy to promote land for residential or commercial development.

Andrew Vivian was working as an Urban Designer for a leading public realm consultancy in London when he joined Pegasus Group in 2014; Rebecca Pass joined the Group in 2015 from Bloor Homes; while Oliver Watkins joined in 2013 with a portfolio of experience gained through a variety of architectural practices, specialising in both the residential and commercial sectors.

Marie Stacey joined Pegasus Group in September 2015 as Senior Planner and previously worked at a renewable energy consultancy, managing applications and appeals for renewable energy projects across England and Wales. Since joining she has been involved in a variety of residential, commercial and renewable energy projects.

Both Spencer Moulds and Steve Williams joined Pegasus Group in 2010, Spencer was formerly a master planner with Barratt Homes.

Steve joined Pegasus Group from a private architecture and planning practice in Liverpool. He has supported the growth of the Leeds and Liverpool offices within the Landscape and Urban Design teams. Steve applies his education as a Landscape Architect with commercially minded design strategies to meet the high expectations of our clients. His experience extends across the residential, mixed-use, renewable energy and minerals sectors and covers initial site feasibility and assessment through to detailed design.

Michael Cheng specialises in residential layout design, and since joining in 2017 has also been involved in some large-scale mixed-use developments including masterplanning work on a creative, digital and media development on the site of an old RAF base in North Yorkshire.

Bringing with her more than 16 years’ experience working on and managing heritage projects for public and private sector clients, Laura Garcia joined Pegasus Group in 2016.

Kate Simpson is a commercially minded Associate Planner with experience across public, private and third sector organisations. She joined in March 2017 and has successfully represented clients on a wide range of residential and commercial projects across the UK and London. Kate specialises in advising retailers and restaurant operators and has a keen interest in heritage-related matters.
