LACE Housing Celebrates Dedicated Volunteers and Staff

Lincolnshire housing and support service provider LACE Housing rounded off another successful year at its 19th annual awards and presentation evening.

Eighty of the organisation’s staff, volunteers, residents and representatives from its partner organisations got together at the DoubleTree by Hilton Lincoln on Friday 30th November.

Special awards were presented to winners and runners up in seven categories, including: Volunteer of the Year, sponsored by Shooting Star; Behind the Scenes, sponsored by DRS Flooring; Mentor of the Year, sponsored by Thornton-Firkin; Innovation, sponsored by Systematic Print Management and Dedication, sponsored by Lindum Construction.

Colleagues from Lindum Construction were surprised with an award for being LACE Housing’s contractor of the year, and Operations Manager Anne Graves took home the Board of Management award to recognise the impact she has had on the organisation over the past year.

Certificates were presented to 19 volunteers to commemorate their service and continued support for the not-for-profit organisation, while a group of 16 volunteers, who helped to raise £4,921.86 for LACE Housing’s charity of the year LIVES, also received special mention for their efforts.

Natasha Smith, who is a Support Coordinator at the Olsen Court housing with extra care scheme, received her 10-year service award.

During the evening LACE Housing also premiered its very first video, which showcases its culture and work in the county and features not only staff but also volunteers and residents.

Nick Chambers, Chief Executive of LACE Housing, said:

“Our awards and presentation evening is one of the most anticipated events in our calendar and provides a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our loyal and hard-working staff and volunteers.

“All the finalists are nominated by residents and staff, so everyone who has been put forward for an award should feel very proud of themselves.

“This year we received a record number of nominations, and I was pleased to see so many members of our team in attendance, supporting one another.”
