Pendragon Vehicle Management Support Local Emergency Services in Road Safety Campaign

On the 8th November, Pendragon Vehicle Management (PVM) hosted an event which supported local emergency services in raising awareness about road safety, focusing particularly on the dangers of speeding.

Over the course of the week, four events were held locally to support the ‘Don’t Wait to Slow Down’ campaign which was run in partnership between Derbyshire Constabulary and Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service. PVM hosted the speed awareness event, in which four team members took part in a staged collision. It was organised with the aim to reduce the speed of road users and raise the awareness of road safety.

Neal Francis, Divisional Managing Director of Pendragon Vehicle Management, commented:

“We understand the importance of raising awareness of the risks and dangers that speeding has, which is why we have partnered with Derbyshire Constabulary to support them with this important campaign.

"In addition to supporting the local community in causes which raise awareness of road safety, we also support our customers and team members. PVM offers driver training to all team members who utilise fleet vehicles and earlier this year we partnered with telematics specialist TrakM8. This gives drivers an insight into their driving style whilst allowing a reduction in operating costs and emissions.”
