Business community gearing up to play Santa Paws this Christmas

Leicester hairdressing mogul Barrie Stephen is bringing the public and the business community together in support of Leicester Animal Aid.

In one of his first actions as an ambassador for the animal rescue charity, Barrie is organising a charity dog walk, which will begin at his King Street salon on 2nd December.

Providing some much needed refreshment on the day will be Bread & Honey who are donating cakes for hungry dog walkers. Warmth will be restored to the winter walkers by locally produced mulled wine from Rothley Wine Estate.

Other businesses are getting on board by raising sponsorship money and pledging to participate on the walk themselves, such as Mattioli Woods, Gelato Village and Manhattan34. They're not alone, over 100 members of the public have already pledged to participate in the walk, which will begin at 10am.

Dog walkers will be given a Santa hat to wear during the walk, with their four legged friends receiving a festive scarf to keep the warmth in. 100 lucky participants will also receive a free doggy bag from the kind folk at St George's Retail Park's Pets at Home superstore.

Anyone wishing to join the walk should contact to register and to receive a sponsorship pack. Minimum sponsorship is £5 and all proceeds will go to Leicester Animal Aid.
