New division of Barrett Developments officially opens its Peterborough office

Barratt Developments’ newest division Barratt and David Wilson Homes Cambridgeshire has officially opened the doors to its Peterborough office following a successful launch.

The new developer first moved into the Hampton office at Cyngent Park in May and has been getting everything ready for all of its new employees.

Now it has officially opened, more than 38 staff members are already based there and out on site, with more expected to join later in the year.

The new team of employees is being led by Managing Director Adam Knight, who was previously working at the developer’s sister company Barratt Homes Northampton as Operations Director.

Adam said: “We are thrilled that our new office at Cyngent Park is now open officially for all of our new staff members.

“We have all been working hard to launch our first few developments including Hampton Water in Peterborough, Romans’ Edge in Godmanchester and Charter’s Gate in Thrapston. Our developments have already seen a high level of interest, with the first residents having just moved in.

“As a new division of Barratt Developments we are looking forward to launching more properties in the near future and welcoming more residents into their new homes.

“Building our team is also a top priority for us over the next few months and we look forward to employing new staff members as the office grows.”

The new division presents a great opportunity for growth in the area following strong land acquisitions and is dual branded, selling both Barratt and David Wilson homes. It will help Barratt to continue to increase volumes to meet the high demand for new homes.

Barratt and David Wilson Homes Cambridgeshire already has terms agreed on land for more than 2,500 homes so far and will be creating around 50 new jobs over the next three years. Hundreds more will be supported in the supply chain and through local sub-contractors.

The housebuilder has already launched a selection of properties at its Barratt Homes development Hampton Water in Peterborough and will launch their first David Wilson Homes development in Northstowe later in the year.
