Legal heavyweight joins Fraser Brown’s Lincoln office

Leading law firm Fraser Brown Solicitors has announced the appointment of Ed Capes as corporate finance partner in its newly established Lincoln office.

Ed joins the firm from Sills & Betteridge where he worked as a corporate partner for more than 10 years, providing advice and support on a wide range of transactional projects for a diverse portfolio of clients.

Ed joins a highly regarded corporate team at Fraser Brown as part of the firm’s expansion plans and the growth strategy for the Lincoln office which opened in June this year.

Ed said: “Fraser Brown is a well-established law firm in the East Midlands. I have long been aware of its credentials and standing in the region’s competitive commercial market.

“Investment and growth have seen Lincoln transformed into a regional centre that can attract and retain new business and the best talent. From my discussions with the Partners at Fraser Brown, it is clear that they want the cultural values that have helped shape and cement the firm’s reputation as a leading supplier of legal services to be reflected in the new Lincoln office.

“This role, the firm and the ambition it has demonstrated is the right choice for me and I am really pleased to be part of Fraser Brown’s dynamic growth strategy and Lincoln office.”

Born and raised in Lincolnshire, Ed qualified as a solicitor in 2003 and built his career working for a number of established corporate teams in both Lincoln and Nottingham.

Gavin White, partner at Fraser Brown and head of the corporate team, said:

“I speak on behalf of the whole team when I say we are very pleased to welcome Ed to Fraser Brown as a corporate finance partner. His extensive knowledge and experience of the industry will make him a valuable asset to Fraser Brown as we continue to grow across the East Midlands.

“Ed’s background and his knowledge of Lincoln will allow us to support our existing clients in the region and delve deeper into the professional community in Lincoln, developing existing and new relationships with local suppliers as well. I would like to wish Ed the best of luck in his new position.”

Fraser Brown, which has four offices across Nottinghamshire and Lincoln, continues its upward trajectory; expanding its team and services, which serve a local and national client-base.
