LGG Projects welcomes experienced senior quantity surveyor

Lincoln-based construction and consultancy company LGG Projects has announced the appointment of Darren Dunn as a senior quantity surveyor.

LGG Projects provides integrated services from high-end domestic alterations, renovations and commercial developments to self-build projects and fit-outs.

In his new role, Darren will be responsible for managing project costs on behalf of the firm’s clients, agreeing and implementing procurement strategies, valuations and variation costs and helping to develop processes as the business grows internally.

After graduating from Leeds Metropolitan University with a degree in Quantity Surveying, Darren spent the following six years working as a quantity surveyor and now joins LGG Projects from Robert Woodhead Limited.

He said:

“Being from Lincoln, I have already seen first-hand the positive impact made by the schemes that LGG Projects has delivered. I’m very much looking forward to working with the team on its exciting and interesting portfolio of upcoming projects in and around Lincoln city centre.

“With the wealth of projects delivered by the firm in this year alone, I know I will be kept busy in my new role and I am looking forward seeing my career flourish here.”

Darren, who will be based at the firm’s head office on Tentercroft Street, will be supporting the team with the delivery of the proposed purpose-built student residential scheme on Grantham Street in Lincoln, which is expected to reach completion in September 2019.

Paul Jakuc, director at LGG Projects, said:

“Darren joins us at a time when we are seeing significant growth across both the team and our portfolio of work. We have a number of exciting projects in the pipeline and Darren’s extensive expertise will be very useful.

“We are always on the lookout for passionate and highly-driven people here at LGG Projects and Darren has shown that he is the perfect fit for our team. I’d like to wish him the best of luck in his new role.”

LGG Projects has worked on a number of significant projects in the region, including the city’s premier mixed-use development; One The Brayford, and a yoga and wellness centre in the Allenby Business Village. The firm has also been chosen to work on The Parklands; a new residential development in the village of Sudbrooke.
