East Midlands housebuilder welcomes new Technical Director

An East Midlands housebuilder has strengthened its team with the appointment of a new Technical Director.

Alex Kenny, from Ashby de la Zouch, brings more than 14 years’ experience in the property sector to the Redrow Homes East Midlands team.

With a background working for national housebuilders, Alex started his career as a trainee engineer.

After winning ‘trainee of the year’ at Bellway Homes in 2005, Alex set himself the goal of becoming a Technical Director by 30 – he gained this impressive title at the age of just 27, and now aged 31 he continues to thrive in the property industry.

Alex’s key responsibilities in his new role will include working closely with the land and planning teams, while managing the engineering and architectural departments.

Alex said:

“I’ve always been incredibly motived to succeed in the property industry, and hitting my goal of becoming Technical Director aged 27 was a wonderful achievement. Now I’m ready to take on new challenges – I’m really excited to be working for a fairly new division of Redrow that’s growing quickly. I’m really looking forward to being part of the team that ensures we meet, and surpass, our goals for the region.

“It’s wonderful to work for a housebuilder that values such high quality and traditional values. One of the main reasons I love working in this industry is being able to have something to show at the end of all the hard work – a new home, and now it will be a Redrow Home, which makes it even better!”

Martyn Pask, Regional Director at Redrow Homes East Midlands said:

“One of our key focuses at Redrow Homes is valuing talent, and this means finding and developing talent. Alex’s experience in this industry speaks for itself, and we are thrilled to welcome him to our growing team.

“It’s an exciting time to join us, and Alex will play a pivotal role in the division, taking developments from concept right through to reality.”
